When giant appliance-maker Whirlpool reports third-quarter earnings, many analysts expect input costs to be the biggest question. Despite lots of headwinds, there seems to be broad agreement that there’s a lot of upside for the stock. ✔ The giant appliance maker started 2018 celebrating new tariffs on imported washing machines, a move aimed at reining in its South Korean competitors, LG Electronics and Samsung Electronics Co.
