HURRICANE GORDON quickly developed into a major storm as it pursued into the Mexican Gulf, but now seems to be on the wane. The latest satellite images and spaghetti models show the storm’s path as it heads inland. ✔ The island nation of Hawaii has already seen its fair share so far, having just seen out Hurricane Lane, which emptied as much as 50 inches of water on the volcanic chain ✔ These tropical storm winds extend out 60mph from the centre of the system ✔ Japan is currently in the midst of devastating Typhoon Jebi, which was initially hailed as the most powerful storm of 2018, smashing the island of Honshu with 135mph winds
