AN EARTHQUAKE has hit Japan measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale in Sapporo, while Typhoon Jebi continues to plague Osaka. What is the latest travel advice for the country and is there a tsunami warning? ✔ An earthquake hit Japan on the island of Hokkaido, south of Sapporo, at roughly 7pm BST ✔ It follows the worst typhoon to have hit Japan in 25 years which has caused airport closures and damage across Osaka ✔ However, it does advise Japan is in a major earthquake zone which also increases the risk of tsunamis
