What is the latest travel advice for the country and is there a tsunami warning? ✔ An earthquake hit Japan on the island of Hokkaido, south of Sapporo, at roughly 7pm BST ✔ It follows the worst typhoon to have hit Japan in 25 years which has caused airport closures and damage across Osaka ✔ However, it does advise Japan is in a major earthquake zone which also increases the risk of tsunamis
