2019 Volvo V60 First Drive Review | Digital Trends

10/12/2018, 8:08:05 PM
With the brand-new 2019 V60, Volvo argues the station wagon segment isn't as moribund as most other automakers say it is. The Swedish company goes as far as arguing we're on the cusp of a wagon revival, and the V60 is poised to lead the charge with a sexy design, useful tech features, and an upmarket interior. ✔ At launch, the roster of engines will also include an option called T5, a 2.0-liter four which loses the T6’s supercharger for turbo-only performance and sends its 250 hp output to the front wheels only ✔ And, judging by the time we spent in the Volvo V60, early adopters are in for a real treat

Open-World Video Games Are Getting Too Big For Their Own Good | Digital Trends

10/13/2018, 10:09:48 AM
As technology has progressed, open-world video games have grown increasingly bigger. What seems like a universal positive has shown problems preventing the genre from truly moving forward, however. But what can be done to keep open worlds from feeling too big for their own good? ✔ 2012’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier was a largely linear mission-based tactical shooter, but it still managed to provide player agency despite its linear design, and there were plenty of big-budget blockbuster moments in the story ✔ That distinction is at the heart of a truly great open-world game, and those can’t be created simply by increasing their scope
